note: there was nothing to action in FF113, and FF114 diffs (whilst late, earthlng was busy promoting world peace and planting 1 million trees) had nothing needed to be flipped.

All up since FF111 (112 was cosmetic) that's one flipped pref that only applies to Linux. ONCE AGAIN .. do not wait for arkenfox to update your browser - nothing of consequence ever changes these days that can't wait

  • the two new active ones are FF115+
  • quarantinedDomains is a SECURITY feature that is unlikely to ever affect you, and if it did, it may have saved your ass

And Firefox 116 gives you per extension whitelist for it so you can enabled your one required and highly trusted extension on them and be protected from all other extensions.

Since this does not appear on extensions that are recommended by Mozilla I assume they are allowed by default. Meaning uBlock origin will block ads and tracks on these sites.

the fish @fxbrit 🎣 gonna be mad that LW is 25% slower than the MIGHTY ARKENFOX (at least on windows) 😁

will update link with jetstream info as well ... seems LW takes a 10% hit over AF (edit, on windows) ... why is the fish so quiet LOL

I had yet to read the TB issue that's why I didn't answer yet, stop fucking with me. but really I'm not mad because I got used to the feeling of being trash talked by a certain girl in yellow fur... jokes aside it would be interesting to see what difference LTO makes for TB but I guess that's a pass at the current stage (it surely is for LW).

it's "a bit shit" that using ESR can get TB 15 months behind (1 yr + 3 months til EOL of that ESR cycle), but to then also not be optimized (PGO, LTO) just takes the cake. On my test TB based on ESR115 = 155 which I'm guessing is the equivalent of FF90 or lower (I mean ESR91 was 158). So that's practically already 2 years behind, even more if you actually compare to stable. Come the near end of TB13 and it will be 3 years+ behind.

On the good news side of things, at least LW beats Palemoon 🎉 👍 🙌

After the update, it's impossible to paste into the text/message box in web.whatsapp.com both with Ctrl+V and mouse right-click -> Paste. The same thing in web.telegram.org and the browser's address box (Ctrl+K) works okay though.
